A new budget smartphone is coming to the Us in the form of the ZenFone 2 Laser, which has value tag of $199 and is already
available in online shops. As early as the smartphone was made public, however, it was clear that it would be a various
model compared to the others that are sufficient in the international market.

A new budget smartphone is coming to the Us in the form of the ZenFone 2 Laser, which has value tag of $199 and is already
available in online shops. As early as the smartphone was made public, however, it was clear that it would be a various
model compared to the others that are sufficient in the international market.
Reporting on the new device, GSMArena said that it will arrive with the model no: ZE551KL. Additionally it is clear that
the smartphone will have a few differences from the 4 other Asus ZenFone 2 Laser models which are in the market and
importantly these will make it more attractive to customers in the United States.
Compared to the ZE500KL model of the Asus ZenFone 2 Laser, the model which is going to be released as the ZE551KL will have
a bigger 5.5 inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels & density of 401 pixels/inch. Also on up of this
will be layered Corning Gorilla Glass 4 for protection.
Importantly, the hardware on the device has been developed and it will release in the US with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615
chipset, doubled with an octa-core CPU comprised of 4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.7 GHz and 4 cores clocked at 1.0 GHz
along with an Adreno 405 GPU. RAM on board is 3 GB and the 16 GB onboard storage version is valued at $199 unlocked. As for
the 32 GB model it has a high price tag of $249 but it doesn't have improved hardware and just brings more onboard storage
space.
The extraordinary feature of the smartphone is its laser autofocus technology & a 13 megapixel rear facing camera which
also has a LED flash with dual tone. As for the front facing camera it is a 5 MP version.
With the release of the Asus ZenFone 2 Laser its clear that Asian smartphone producers are aiming to attract consumers in
the US market. Importantly with this smartphone, users get dual SIM slots and can use it on carriers such as T-Mobile and
AT&T.
